Kevin Wilcox is a Research Scientist with the Ocean Mapping Group, part of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering at the University of New Brunswick, Canada. His research interests include scaling our understanding of the ocean through autonomous vessels and numerical ocean simulation. In February-March of 2025 he was one of 15 Canadian scientists selected for the first all-Canadian Antarctic expedition. Kevin’s Antarctic work has been featured by EUSPA and the hydrographic press, where he was the first to make use of Galileo’s High Accuracy Service in Antarctica to create precise 3D maps of underwater terrain.
