Jose Luis Serrano is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in the space sector. He holds a degree in Telecommunication Engineering, obtained in 2007, and an Executive Master's in Business Administration from EAE School, acquired in 2019.
Throughout his career, Jose Luis has worked with prominent industry players, including large satellite integrators and manufacturers such as Airbus Space and Defence, and TESAT. However, the majority of his experience lies in the satellite operator side. Notably, he has held key positions at EUTELSAT and Hispasat.
At EUTELSAT, Jose Luis served as a Communication System Engineer in the Future Satellite System department, where he played a crucial role in defining the future fleet of satellites based on market and technology trends. Subsequently, he joined Hispasat as Head of Innovation and European Projects, where he was responsible for driving the company's innovation, shaping its strategic direction, creating new business opportunities, and leading European programmes.
As of 2024, Jose Luis has taken on the role of Service Delivery Manager at the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), within the Secure Communications Department. In this capacity, he is contributing to the development of the GOVSATCOM HUB programme, among other initiatives.
