Javier Ibanez-Guzman (Life Member, IEEE) is Corporate Expert in Autonomous Systems at Renault S.A.. He received his M.S.E.E. from the University of Pennsylvania as a Fulbright Scholar and his Ph.D. from the University of Reading, UK.
He has led major programs in intelligent and autonomous vehicles, including Renault’s first electric autonomous vehicles. Dr. Ibanez-Guzman serves as Senior Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles, Area Editor for IEEE/RSJ IROS, etc. He represents Renault in ISO standardization groups on vehicle safety and AI and is a CEng (UK).
