Iván Miralles is a space engineer specialised in spacecraft operations and satellite service activities within the Galileo programme. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and a Master’s degree in Space Engineering from the University of Pisa (UNIPI).
He began his career at ESA’s European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt, working in the Interplanetary Mission Division and supporting operations for scientific deep-space missions. He later joined Spaceopal, where he serves as a Satellite Service Engineer focusing on Space Segment operations, coordination of mission-critical activities, anomaly resolution across platform and payload systems, and continuous satellite performance monitoring.
In parallel, Iván plays an active role in the European space community. He is part of the organising team of SGAC Spain and SpaceBrewery in Munich, an initiative that brings together professionals and enthusiasts to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and a stronger NewSpace ecosystem.
