Harald Hofmann joined the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in 2001 and is head of the Galileo Competence Center at DLR. He started his work as power/thermal engineer for satellite operations and held positions as project manager, research coordinator and in several administrative areas. The research topics he was involved included robotics, space and human exploration as well as navigation and communication.
