Giuditta Montesanti is a Policy Officer at European Commission, Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DEFIS), working on the definition of mission requirements for IRIS2. In Commission, she has been working for five years for the European Global Navigation Satellite (GNSS) Programmes Galileo and EGNOS. In 2020, she joined the Secure Connectivity team, focusing on projects such as Quantum-secure Communication Infrastructure initiative (EuroQCI), GOVSATCOM and IRIS2.
Giuditta holds a master degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Pisa and a PhD in materials science from the University of Roma Tre. In 2022, she obtained a master in Optics and Quantum Information from Sapienza University of Rome.
Before joining the European Commission, Giuditta has been working in high-tech industry, in academia and at the European Space Agency (ESA).
