Daire Boyle is a consultant with 10 years’ experience in engineering and consulting. He is the lead author for the agriculture, forestry and fisheries and aquaculture chapters of EUSPA’s 2022 and 2024 EO and GNSS Market Report and continues to contribute to several other EUSPA market development service contracts. He has considerable market analysis, strategy consulting, business planning and project management skills developed through his consulting activities. He currently acts as Technical Manager of the Horizon Europe 4Growth project, in which he leads technical management of the overall project and the development of exploitation and sustainability plans. Mr. Boyle was the lead author of numerous Sentinel Benefits Study case studies and cross-cutting reports which analysed on behalf of the European Space Agency and the European Commission the economic, environmental, and societal benefits brought by the Copernicus Sentinel programme. He also currently leads the “Food Systems” theme within European Space Agency’s Stakeholder Engagement Facility. He acted as exploitation manager for the H2020 CYBELE project, which involved the development of several in-depth agricultural and technological market analyses, business model development and technological impact assessments. He provided exploitation and sustainability support to all 37 pilots within the H2020 e-shape project and also authored socio-economic analysis publications on the impact of EO across various sectors within the e-shape project.
