The session will focus on the needs and requirements of telecom, finance, and energy operators by delivering insights related to the market trends and the technology readiness, including the updates on the standardisation of Galileo timing receivers.
The timing capability offered by satellite navigation systems is at the core of most vital infrastructures: telecom networks operation, energy distribution and financial transactions are some examples of areas where GNSS is used for timing and/or synchronisation purposes. GNSS is widely used by the T&S community as it provides accurate, “low cost” and widely available timing services allowing time, phase, and frequency network synchronisation.
